Equifax reports that a proposed rule by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) could make it so that all federal grant recipients and subrecipients would be required to use E-Verify for every employee and contractor performing work under a federal award.

Hear that, HR leaders? This means that covered employers would need to notify the Federal agency or pass-through entity of any Final Nonconfirmation (FNC), provide the related EV case number, and confirm that appropriate actions have been taken. Failure to provide notice or take necessary steps could result in the termination of the Federal award. (Ouch, to say the least.)
