The question of who to trust on health matters has grown more complex since the Covid-19 pandemic. As a new virus spread across the world, there was a near-constant deluge of information on how best to stay protected that was often in flux and sometimes conflicting. (Sanitize your packages! But wait, maybe don’t bother.)

During the pandemic, employers became a vital partner in disseminating critical health information to their workforces. And four years on, the employer is the institution employees trust most for addressing their health needs and concerns, according to a recent report from Edelman.

Employers are more trusted than government, media on health. The report draws from a survey of more than 15,000 people across 16 countries that was fielded March 4–13. When asked to assess how much they trusted different institutions “to do what is right in addressing my health needs and concerns,” 68% of employees rated their employer somewhere between 6–9 on a 9-point scale. This is higher than the share that reported this level of trust in business (52%), non-government organizations (49%), government (43%), or media (41%).

One area in which employers can lean into this trust is information-sharing, Courtney Gray Haupt, Edelman’s global chief operating officer and US chair for health, told HR Brew.

Source your superstars

Indeed

Hiring managers are facing a unique challenge. The more time they spend searching for applicants, the less time they have to focus on what they do best: connecting with people and evaluating quality candidates.

According to a recent Indeed-commissioned survey with Harris Poll, 99% (!!!) of 300 US hiring managers say sourcing qualified candidates is a challenge. Sheesh.

That’s why Indeed built Smart Sourcing. It uses advanced matching tech and AI to help:

  • Provide a short list of candidates who match your criteria.
  • Get actionable insights on candidate engagement.
  • Connect with responsive candidates quickly.

Indeed believes better work begins with better hiring. That’s why Smart Sourcing expedites the talent-sourcing process without losing that essential human touch. Spend less time searching through applications and more time meeting future team superstars.

TECH

Move over ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini—there’s a new AI platform in town, and it means business (and personal and creative).

This week, QX Lab AI launched its new Ask QX Pro, a multilingual AI platform with text to image, image to text, document analysis, and text-to-code capabilities. This new version builds on the text-to-text features available in the original Ask QX launch in February.

The new service focuses on solutions for businesses and creatives, as well as for personal use. Ask QX has garnered more than 15 million users, 4 million of whom engage with the platform on a regular basis, according to a company press release. QX Lab AI’s co-founder and chief strategy officer, Arjun Prasad, told HR Brew that the company worked to deliver a solution that was user ready before marketing the product.

Zoom out. As the working public gets more comfortable with the idea that everyone will likely be (or already is) using AI at work, choosing the right AI products and tools might become a complicated task.
